About Me

About Me Picture - Eduardo Ortega González

Hello! That’s me in the photo, Eduardo Ortega González, and I’m delighted you’ve made it here. Let me share a bit about who I am and my passion for creation and memory.

Literary Journey

I was born on February 12, 1995, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. I’ve been writing since the age of sixteen, and ten years later, in 2021, I published my first novel, La Sombra del Ministerio: La Captura, followed by a poetry collection, Memorias e impresiones, the following year. That same year, I was honored to be named the winner of the First Microamicro Poetry Contest and received an Honorable Mention in the Second International Contest with the Julia Stanza.

In 2024, I finished my first literary project in Interlingua, Le Silva Magic, where the conworld Axanèth and the conlang Bhrenaynòm are introduced.

Memory

In 2020, with the infamous lockdown, I started working with some powerful mnemonic devices and managed to memorize more than 3000 digits of pi and more than 3600 of e.

In January of 2025, after five months away from memory, I decided to participate in the French Open Memory Championship, which took place in Paris. There, after six weeks of training, I was able to break five different national records. Four in individual disciplines (I am know the national record holder in the disciplines 10 min cards, 5 min binary, 5 min words, and 5 min images) and one in the overall score in a national format.

Beyond the Pen and Memory

In addition to writing, I enjoy long walks, studying languages, and playing chess.

My interest in music and YouTube is also a part of my life. In 2023, I began my journey on YouTube by creating a channel about culture and languages in various tongues, which later evolved into a content creation channel in Interlingua. On this channel, you can find several original songs—composed and produced by me—primarily in Interlingua. But not only: here’s a love song in English published for Valentine’s Day 2024.

Education and Linguistic Exploration

I graduated as a Hispanic Philologist from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (or, as we students and alumni call it, la uelepegesé). I speak six languages: Spanish, English, Interlingua, Italian, Portuguese, and French.

Later, I enhanced my education by earning a TEFL (Teaching of English as a Foreign Language) certificate. Additionally, I expanded my knowledge by completing a neurobiology course at the University of Chicago.

Don’t forget to check the professional services that I offer. 😉

My fascination with linguistics and literature led me to create my own fictional language, Bhrenaynòm.

Future Projects

I am currently working on three writing projects: a translation of stories into Interlingua titled Dece Contos Hispanic, La Gema del Éter, an epic fantasy novel, and a book on memory techniques for the layman titled Desbloquea tu mente. Both Le Silva Magic and La Gema del Éter are set in an epic fictional world, the vast and magical planet Axanèth, which I am gradually building.

I hope this brief introduction has sparked your curiosity. Join me on this creative journey! See you around!
